Attempted Abduction

There was an attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl on Thursday, July 8, at 4:10 pm in the Fellowship Bible Church parking lot near Arapaho and Spring Creek Rds.

A light-skinned, black male in his late 30s, with a scar on his forehead, followed the girl who was walking home from the shopping center at Arapaho and Coit Rds. He stopped to talk with her and tried to get her into his car, grabbing her wrist at one point. She was able to get away and a neighbor who recognized her drove around the block and came back to pick her up and take her home. By this time, the man drove away in his four-door blue car.

The Dallas Police Department has been notified.

Please let your neighbors know about this incident and be cautious when out walking at any time of day or evening. If you witness or are involved in any incident, please call 911 immediately to report this to the Dallas Police.
